JCCA
The Jewish Child Care Agency commissioned KBA to prepare a 10-year master plan for its 1920's Beaux Arts style, 45-building, 160-acre campus/residential facility for children & young adults. KBA worked to plan a modernization of the campus while maintaining the historic design of this landmark campus. The project buildings included the grand administration building ornamented with terra cotta decorations and a Spanish tile roof. These are flanked by educational buildings adorned with open, dramatic, curving colonnades. These colonnades connect the main buildings with 40 "cottages," where the children&young adults live with faculty and caretakers.
