SWEDLICK HOUSE

KBA designed this new 3,200 sf, two-story house along the Bay in Fire Island. The house was designed in the local Shaker Style. It features multiple levels of outdoor spaces and decks along the living room and bedrooms to maximize spectacular views of the ocean. The living room area, kitchen, dining room area, and decks were designed to integrate spatially and provide a focus for the main level. The focal point of the interior living space is a striking octagonal roof structure, which captures the eye to its full elevated height. Then enlarged wood-plank deck along the rear of the house amplifies the outdoor living space.
